A. B. “Bud” Smith, Jr. is one of the firm’s founding partners. In 1938, he partnered with Clifford A. Mitts and the law firm of Mitts & Smith (later to become Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge) was formed. He developed a solid reputation for his practice in workers’ compensation law.
Mr. Smith retired in 1985, but continues to be involved with the firm through an Of Counsel basis.
