Bearup Named "Best in the U.S."

George practices in the areas of estate planning and retirement planning, business law and divorce law. George is a member and belongs to various sections of the American and Michigan Bar Associations. He was the Judicial Liaison Chairperson of the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association for several years. He is a Fellow of the State Bar of Michigan Foundation and a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Council, a certified mediator for the Western District of Michigan and a certified referee for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. George is a frequent lecturer and author on issues of estate planning and family law, and has been a co-editor of ICLE Publication's "Michigan Revocable Grantor Trusts" for 10 years. He is also active in the Traverse City community, serving as Chairman of Rotary Charities, and as Chairman of the Board of the Munson Healthcare Foundation. He sits on the Munson Healthcare System Board of Trustees and is active in the Northern Michigan Counsel on Planned Giving, the Women's Resource Center, and Community Health Clinic.
