Blodgett Selected as Recipient of the MDTC's Young Lawyer Section Golden Gavel Award
Traverse City, Mich., March 23, 2010 - Andrew J. Blodgett, an attorney with the law firm of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, has been selected by the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel to receive the organization's Golden Gavel Award.
The annual award is presented to a Michigan attorney who has been in practice for less than 10 years and has demonstrated significant professionalism and courtesy in the practice of law; significant achievement in charitable endeavors, community involvement, and pro bono representation; leadership and advancement of young attorneys; and achievement within one's area of practice.
Andy focuses his practice on insurance defense and representing businesses in general civil litigation. He is active in both his profession and community. He has participated in Leadership Grand Traverse and currently serves as member of the Board of Directors of Great Lakes Children's Museum.
