Danielle F. Susser

Danielle F. Susser has practiced workers' compensation law for over 25 years. By focusing her practice on workers' compensation she has developed extensive knowledge and experience on the issues that employers face. She exclusively defends and advises employers, insurance companies and third party administrators in all areas of workers' compensation law and claims handling. She views workers' compensation as an integral part of an organization's cost containment policy, not simply as a costly nuisance. Her years in the field allow her to understand the issues that are important to employers and to resolve those issues quickly and cost effectively.

Before joining Smith Haughey, Danielle was staff counsel for DTE Energy, handling hundreds of contested cases throughout Southeast Michigan since 1980. She continues to represent the interests of employers in workers' compensation cases as well as advising employers and insurance companies in all areas of workers compensation law and claims handling.

Danielle was born in France. She likes to keep active and is a past Detroit Free Press Marathon runner.
