Engel Reappointed to State Bar Character Fitness Committee

Albert J. Engel, III News Photo - ColorAlbert J. Engel, III, a shareholder at the law firm of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, was recently reappointed to the State Bar District C Character and Fitness Committee by the Board of Commissioners. Mr. Engel has served on the committee since 2001.

A Grand Rapids native, Mr. Engel is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Toledo Law School. He is a seasoned litigator, licensed in both Michigan and Colorado, and focuses his practice in the areas of physician and institutional medical malpractice defense, health law, and general civil litigation. He is also a frequent lecturer on risk management and malpractice issues.
