Jason R. Thompson

Jason Thompson practices in the areas of real estate law, environmental law, and general civil litigation.

"I enjoy the challenge of either advocating my client's positions on complex issues such as land use and environmental regulations, or attempting to work out settlements such as those that protect client's property rights but are also acceptable land uses and reduce environmental impacts."
- Jason Thompson

Jason has advised clients through the environmental permitting process, up to and including litigating a contested case hearing on behalf of a client attempting to obtain a DEQ permit under the Sand Dune Protection & Management Act.  He has represented clients in land use litigation, including property owners, neighboring property owners, and governmental bodies.

Raised in northern Michigan, Jason is a graduate of Grayling High School.  He has been married to his wife, Brion, for five years and has a son, Benjamin.  In his spare time, he enjoys canoe racing and fly fishing.
