Kathy Ann Blunck Becomes Chair of the Legal Assistants Section of the Michigan State Bar

Kathy Ann Blunck, a legal assistant with the law firm of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge (SHRR), was recently sworn in as the Chair of the Legal Assistants Section of the Michigan State Bar.

Ms. Blunck has been a legal assistant for 10 years and spent the last two years at SHRR. Her experience also includes serving as the Coordinator for the Legal Assistants Section Annual Meeting.

The Legal Assistants Section provides legal education to approximately 550 members. Current initiatives include evaluating methods used by other states to register legal assistants/paralegals. The section also has a scholarship program funded by member dues and donations.
