Gilchrist Elected President of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel

Grand Rapids, Mich., June 6, 2014— Mark A. Gilchrist, shareholder with Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge’s Grand Rapids office, has been elected president of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC). 

Mark is a trial attorney representing individuals and businesses in commercial, professional liability, criminal, legal malpractice and general liability matters. He has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer, listed as a “Rising Star” in professional liability defense, criminal defense and personal injury defense. Active in MDTC, Mark has been involved with the organization for six years. In his involvement, Mark has assisted in the organization’s efforts by promoting and advancing the state’s civil justice system.

MDTC was established in 1979 with the sole purpose of enhancing and supporting the civil defense bar as well as representing individuals and corporations in civil litigation.
