Smith Haughey Welcomes Attorneys Rachael Roseman and Scott Brookens

Grand Rapids, Mich., Dec. 4, 2014 — Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is pleased to announce that attorneys Scott M. Brookens and Rachael M. Roseman have joined the firm’s Grand Rapids office. Both previously worked at Smith Haughey as summer associates in 2013. 

Scott M. Brookens
Scott joins Smith Haughey as an associate practicing in the areas of business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate law. In addition to his successful track record in the film and media production industry, Scott has experience working with small businesses and start-ups on growth and development strategies.

Scott graduated with a B.S. in Communication Studies from Grand Valley State University and later simultaneously earned his J.D. and MBA from the Michigan State University College of Law and the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, respectively. He is licensed to practice law in the state court of Michigan.

Rachael M. Roseman Rachael is an attorney in West Michigan who represents clients in a variety of matters, including probate, commercial, insurance disputes and estate planning, and she has extensive experience in conducting comprehensive analysis on complicated legal issues.

Rachael graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and went on to earn her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Michigan State University College of Law. While in law school, Rachael worked as a teaching assistant and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan State Law Review. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan.
