Adil Daudi and Veronica Marsich, both health law attorneys with Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge presented an educational webinar titled, "Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP Extension Act -- Are You Registered?". 

The program examined:

• Medicare's new Mandatory Insurer Reporting statute.
• Reporting requirements for liability insurers (including self-insured), no-fault insurers and workers' compensation insurers including reporting structure, use of agents and delineation of roles and responsibilities relative to reporting.
• "Responsible reporting entity" status and issues relative to identifying a "reporting agent".
• Data field elements crated by CMS that are required for reporting a claim.
• The updated timeline for reporting, entity registration, and account set-up process.
