Smith Haughey Introduces New Internship Program
Grand Rapids, Mich., Sept. 7, 2007-Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is introducing a new internship program sponsored by the firm's Diversity Committee. Edward Lofton, a senior at City High School in Grand Rapids, will be the first program participant during the fall 2007 semester.
Each semester, one high school student who has expressed an interest in pursuing a career in the legal professional will be chosen to fill the internship position. Throughout the semester, the intern will gain experience and exposure in all areas of the law and firm operations. In addition, he will be provided with an overview of all career opportunities within the legal profession.
