Grand Rapids, Mich., May 21, 2008 - In recent week's, Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge's litigation attorneys have received five successful jury verdicts on behalf of their clients throughout the state of Michigan.
Carol Carlson and Jason Sebolt received a no cause of action jury verdict in Wayne County for our hospital client after a six-day trial.
Cheryl Chandler received a no cause verdict from a Macomb County jury after an eight-day trial in which she successfully represented our internist client.
Joe Engel obtained a unanimous defense verdict in favor of a Northern Michigan surgeon who allegedly perforated a bowel during the performance of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Jack O'Loughlin and Brian Molde received a no cause verdict after a two-week trial in which they successfully represented a Grand Rapids hospital and six of its neonatologists who were named in a wrongful death suit.
Rob Tubbs was successful in defending a claim that involved an alleged motor vehicle/pedestrian accident in a parking lot of a video store in Petoskey. The jury deliberated for approximately 40 minutes and found that our client was not negligent.
