Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is pleased to announce that Jason R. Thompson has joined the firm as an associate in the Traverse City office. He will practice business law, business litigation, and real estate law.

Jason received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School where he was a member of the Notre Dame Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. He is admitted to practice in the federal courts for the Western District of Michigan, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association, the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.

Jason comes to Smith Haughey from the Traverse City law firm of Parsons Ringsmuth PLC, where he served as a civil litigation attorney. Prior to that, he served as a law clerk for the 46th Circuit Trial Court.
