Judson Appointed to the State's Dispute Resolution Court Rule Committee

     Traverse City, Mich., Oct. 16, 2007 - Charles B. Judson, a shareholder in the Traverse City office of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge has been appointed by the state of Michigan's, Court Administrative Office to the Dispute Resolution Court Rule Committee.

     The purpose of the Committee is to provide recommendations to the Michigan Supreme Court for improving case evaluation and other alternative dispute resolution practices in Michigan's trial courts. The committee is comprised of sitting trial court judges, attorneys familiar with alternative dispute practices, and court administrators.

     Mr. Judson's primary areas of practice include mediation of disputes, representation of local municipalities, real property matters (including zoning and land use issues), and commercial transactions. He is very active in his industry and community, having held many elected offices and board of director positions for legal and community organizations.
