Velzen Wins Election to Noteworthy Positions in Two Local Family Law Organizations

Grand Rapids, Mich., Feb. 22, 2008 - Randall L. Velzen, a shareholder in the Grand Rapids office of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, was recently elected to noteworthy positions in two legal organizations.

He has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan, which is a state-wide organization for collaborative divorce professionals. 

He has also been elected Secretary of the Family Law Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

Mr. Velzen primarily practices in the areas of family law, estate planning, real estate, and probate. He was one of the first attorneys in western Michigan to complete collaborative law training through the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan.
