Vinocur Joins Smith Haughey and Expands the Firm's Health Law Department

Traverse City, Mich., Mar. 6, 2007—Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is pleased to announce that P. David Vinocur has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Traverse City office. Dave will focus his practice on health law, specifically in the areas of behavioral health law, Medicaid, HIPAA, hospital law, managed care contracting, and compliance issues.

A practicing attorney for 30 years, Dave most recently served as in-house counsel for Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority. A member of the State Bar of Michigan, Health Care Compliance Association, and American Health Lawyers Association, Dave is active in his profession and industry. He also sits on the Bioethics Resource Committee for Munson Medical Center.

Dave received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, a teaching certificate from Northern Michigan University, and his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law.
