Second Smith Haughey Attorney Named to the “Top 40 Lawyers Under 40” List by the American Society of Legal Advocates

Grand Rapids, Mich., March 4, 2013 — D. Adam Tountas, an attorney with Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, was named to the American Society of Legal Advocate’s list of the “Top 40 Lawyers Under 40” in addition to accepting a membership invitation to the society. Smith Haughey attorney Kristen E. Ray was previously named to this list as well.The American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) accepts less than two percent of all licensed lawyers in the nation as members; and membership is by invitation only. Candidates are assessed for membership based on educational accomplishments, involvement and leadership within professional affiliations and their community, as well as demonstrated legal achievement.

According to ASLA, the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 list “identifies and recognizes lawyers demonstrating leadership and talent early on in their careers, not only in their practice, but in exemplifying the characteristics that will demonstrate the best that the legal profession has to offer.”

Adam practices from Smith Haughey’s Grand Rapids office, representing a variety of clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. As a commercial litigator, Adam regularly appears before judges and juries throughout Michigan in complex business and corporate litigation. Additionally, Adam represents business owners in several types of employment litigation.
